   The President announces a chosen "Golden Dome" missile defense architecture, puts its cost at about $175 billion and says it should be in operation before the end of his term

   Public Law 119-21 appropriates $24.4 billion for air and missile defense (section 20003), including $5.6 billion for space-based and boost-phase interceptors and $7.2 billion for space-based sensors, available until 30 September 2029
